SIMPLE’s 36 interactive internal medicine virtual patient cases deliver on the learning objectives of Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine’s (CDIM) General Internal Medicine Core Medicine Clerkship Curriculum.

SIMPLE is a collaboration between MedU and the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM).

WISE-MD’s 35 web-based surgery modules enhance the surgical education of medical students by focusing on topics typically taught within the surgical clerkship. The modules, which have video and animation, concentrate on surgical skills and conditions.

WISE-MD is a collaboration between MedU and New York University.

WISE-OnCall is a series of e-learning modules aimed at preparing transitioning students for the high-risk situations they need to be ready to manage from day one on adult medical and surgical services -- situations where a delay or misdiagnosis could have a tragic outcome.

(Geriatrics)

CARE’s six virtual patient cases and 14 video modules concentrate on common and critical addiction and substance use topics that medical students and health care professionals need to be able to address.

CARE is a collaboration between MedU, the Betty Ford Center (a part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation), the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the Treatment Research Institute.

 

These 6 virtual patient cases contain foundational content about diagnosis, including the factors that contribute to diagnostic error and the strategies that can be used to avoid error. Diagnostic Excellence introduces students to the cognitive processes and system-related issues that can lead to errors.

Available for the 2017-2018 Academic Year.

DX is a collaboration between MedU and the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM). Its development was funded through grants from AAIM and The Doctors Company Foundation.

WebGEMs' 25 geriatrics virtual patient cases address the AAMC geriatrics competencies and are sponsored by the Association of Directors of Geriatric Academic Programs.  

WebGEMs is a collaboration between MedU and the American Geriatrics Society (AGS). Its development was funded through a grant from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.

High Value Care’s 12 cross-disciplinary virtual patient cases explore the fundamentals of providing value in health care and are adopted from the American College of Physicians’ (ACP) and the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine’s (AAIM) High Value Care Resident curriculum. 

High Value Care is a collaboration between MedU, the ACP, and AAIM.

The three cases that make up the Culture in Health Care Course are designed to teach fundamental cross-cultural skills that can be used in the provision of health care services. The goal is to provide culturally appropriate care that maximizes common ground between the differing perspectives of the patient and the provider.

The Medical Home learning module helps the learner develop a better understanding of certain complex topics critical to the effective delivery of care within the medical home model.
