CORE classroom flipping workshops

Posted: 28 Apr 13:07

CORE cases can be used to "flip" your classroom! Assign specific cases to students to master key informational material on their own, and free up classroom time for discussion and further application and understanding of the key learning objectives.

  • Engage your students: Design workshops for classroom time instead of lectures.

  • Expand their knowledge base: Workshops can be primarily case-based or use cases that expand on the material taught in the CORE case.

  • Make learning collaborative: Workshops can involve individual or collaborative learning in groups.

This CORE-based classroom flipping video by Dr. Petra Lewis is an example of what a flipped classroom looks like.

This video,"Using CORE to transform radiology medical student teaching," by Dr. Jeffery Hogg explains the benefits of flipping a classroom.

Workshops have been developed for seventeen CORE cases: Click here to download Case Workshops and Speakers' Notes

  • More on the way... Feel free to use these PowerpointsTM or create your own!
  • Select a case to reveal the teaching slides (in both Powerpoint and pdf formats) and accompanying notes for the lecturer.
  • We recommend viewing this short guide that includes many useful technical and teaching pointers.
