Leslie FallLeslie Fall, MD
Executive Director

Dr. Leslie Fall is a MedU co-founder. She is a Professor of Pediatrics (Hospital Medicine), Vice Chair for Pediatric Education, and the Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Leslie served as a pediatric clerkship director for over ten years and a pediatric residency director for five years. She is a member of the inaugural class of the Geisel School of Master Educators, and was elected to the Academic Pediatric Society in 2013. A graduate of the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program, Leslie is a nationally recognized expert in learning design and faculty development in medical education. She recently co-led the pedagogy, teaching, and mentorship working group for the Dartmouth College strategic plan.

National committees: Leslie served on the Executive Committee of the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP) from 2001-2004, and as the leader of the COMSEP Faculty Development Task Force from 2004-2008.

Education: Leslie graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in Kinesiology and received her MD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (formerly Dartmouth Medical School). She completed a fellowship in medical education from Michigan State University in 1996.

Family/Hobbies: Leslie and her husband have three children, two in college and one in high school. She is an avid reader who enjoys cooking, running, and gardening.

Cynthia Howlett-WillisCynthia Howlett-Willis, MBA/MPH
Chief Operating Officer

Cynthia Howlett-Willis joined MedU as its Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She is a finance professional with over twenty years experience in healthcare, most recently serving as the Director of Finance for Information Technology Services at the Boston Medical Center. Leveraging her unique combination of MBA/MPH, Cynthia has held a variety of roles that combine strategy, analytics, and operational, HR, and project management support for major healthcare organizations and consulting services.

Education: B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Wheaton College. MBA/MPH from Tulane University. 

Family/Hobbies: Cynthia and her husband have two children in college. She enjoys reading, gardening, traveling and skiing. And, when weekends allow, she goes hiking with her husband and the Swiss Society of Boston.

Bridie NapierBridie Napier, MD 
Director of Assessment Operations

Dr. Bridie Napier has been with MedU since 2008. She collaborates with project managers and case editors to ensure the ongoing quality of MedU cases. She also monitors curricular content, manages final exam creation and maintenance, contributes to the development of research projects, and assists with the design and implementation of pedagogical advances and integration resources.

Education: Bridie graduated from Williams College with a degree in Biology, Psychology, and Neuroscience and received her MD from Dartmouth College of Medicine.

Family/Hobbies: Bridie has three children and loves to hike, back-country ski, and kayak with her family.

Nancy TobiNancy Tobi
Director of Curricular Operations

Nancy Tobi joined MedU as its Senior Project Manager and Instructional Design Lead in 2015. She is an education and training professional and eLearning expert with 20 years’ experience serving the higher education, corporate, career, workforce, professional, and k-12 markets. She is experienced in online instructional design, curriculum design, content management, product development, and product management of online learning solutions and educational technology. A longtime consultant, Nancy’s past positions include Senior Learning Designer with Skillsoft, Senior Software Product Manager with Pearson's Learning Technology Group, Senior Director of Instructional Design and eLearning Product Development with Jones & Bartlett Learning, and Director of Online Curriculum and Instructional Design with Cengage Learning.

Education: B.A. in Sociology, Mass Media, and Communications from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. M.S. in Environmental Education from Antioch University New England.

Family/Hobbies: Nancy and her husband have two children. She enjoys quiet days and nights at her mountainside home, reading, yoga, cooking, and being entertained by her very amusing cat and dog.

Roberto J. NicolaldeRoberto J. Nicolalde 
Chief Technology Officer

Roberto J. Nicolalde comes from Oregon State University where he was an Instructor in the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. Prior to joining OSU he was an Assistant Professor at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. He is also the founder and CEO of a funded early-stage technology company focusing in health informatics, and professional education.

Education: After receiving his B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from San Francisco de Quito University in 2000, he completed his M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Oregon State University in 2004, and his Ph.D. in Biomedical and Health Services Research from Dartmouth College in 2010.

Dr. Nicolalde holds numerous patents, approved and some pending. He has published extensively in the areas of systems engineering, medical devices, emergency response processes, health policy and health services research.

Nat PiersonNat Pierson
Director of Platform Operations

Nat Pierson, Information Technology Lead since 2014, is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at MedU. This includes directing all IT operations as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.  

Education: Nat graduated from Wesleyan University and completed post-graduate work in film at New York University.


Tom YurkoskyTom Yurkosky, CPA, CGMA
Director of Finance

Since 2014, Tom has been responsible for all accounting, finance and business operations at MedU. Most assignments involve leading efforts to improve accounting systems and transparency, and designing and implementing budgeting and forecasting processes.

Education: Tom graduated from the University of Hartford with a degree in Accounting.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Family/Hobbies: Tom and his wife have two daughters, one recent college graduate and one still in college.  He enjoys traveling, spending time with family and many different outdoor activities.

Director of Relationship Management

Eileen is an education technology professional with over twenty year’s experience in communications and marketing, product innovation, and strategy in higher education. She has held a variety of roles that combine customer and brand insight, new market analysis, strategy development, and product development support, most recently as Director of Market Innovation at Pearson. 

Education: Eileen graduated from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst with a BA in Marketing, and has an MBA from Bentley University.
